A member of the Cape Egmont Boat Club since its inception,  He has owned several boats but has now seen the light and uses someone else's boat.

He is an active member of the Cape Egmont Coastguard Search & Rescue Committee.

Tom is married to Lynn and they have five children and one grandson, the apple of his eye.

Tom is an agricultural contractor with over 20 tractors and other farm machines. Added to this, Tom also owns a dairy farm, milking 200 cows.
