David has been a member of the Canterbury Outboard Boating Club for over 30 years and was on the original steering committee, setting up the Club in 1974 and served as Commodore twice and on the Committee for over 30 years.

David has been employed in the Motor Industry for over 40 years and was a Service Manager with a large Franchise Dealer for 15 years and served on the Motor Trade Association as President of the Canterbury Branch and on the training Committee at National level.

David represented the NZTBF and the MTA on the original Committee for 5 years to set up new light trailer standards with the Ministry of Transport in Wellington.

He is a qualified MITO Tutor and Assessor in the Motor Industry.

His boat is a Fi-Glass Dominator “Davinia”, and he is married to Noelene and has two adult sons and has been family boating for 40 years

David's present position on the NZTBF is Treasurer & President. He has been the President for more than 5 years and on the executive for 30 years!

David was recently made a Life Member of both his boating club (Canterbury Outboard Boating Club Inc) and the New Zealand Trailer Boat Federation Inc.
